IRAN Watch : Neda Sultan

She became a Symbol , she became an icon , 27 Years old Neda Sultan , more about her in Wikipedia.

Neda Sultan

Allah bless her soul.

Strangely I found out that the regime in Iran did not give her family the opportunity to have a proper funeral or burial for her just like in Egypt , the victims of police brutality are always buried in the middle of the night so people in the funeral would not get too emotional !!!

Neda in the first picture looks exactly like a friend of mine.

  1. I am sure that Iranian Embassies and Ambassadors would appreciate the chance to explain the position of the Iranian government regarding how the Islamic Republic of Iran respects Islam, its traditions and laws concerning respect for the dead and its citizens. They would be happy to tell you how their treatment of Neda's family is in line with the human rights position expoused around the world by their President. Their addresses and names are easily found on the internet. I can not speak for the Iranian officials or their staff but I am sure that Emails and snail mail would be appreciated. I does not matter if they are Ambassadors to your country or not, I'm sure they would appreciate hearing from you.

  2. This is a good suggestion , I hope that it is not applied on Iran but on every country that treats its citizens in this shameful way including my country :(

  4. Well said, Zeinobia. Indeed she looks like a friend for all of us. The love she received worldwide was a good condolence 4. But actually, her death made me remeber Al-Durrah.

I don't know if you know that the doctor who tried to save her life (in the video) came to be a friend of Paulo Coelho! Check my twitter 4 the link where Paulo tell the story!

  7. I love to watch For Neda documentary movies, the stor very touching for me. People know that Neda was killed on June 20, 2009 by gun shot, the last words were, "I'm burning, I'm burning!" She died in route to Tehran's Shariati hospital, please recommend your friends to watch it
